Among the headline measures will be the development of new colleges to add to the university's current 15, offering more university run accommodation for students. There will also be a new 'Centre for Teaching and Learning' as well as an 'Education Laboratory' created. The plans also include the university's intention to build a new students' union. Professor Corbridge said: "We are keen to make a continuing strong contribution to the cities that we operate in, and to the wider region.".
